Deutsche Baryt-Industrie Dr. Rudolph Alberti GmbH & Co. KG celebrated its 125th anniversary with a festive ceremony. Numerous invited guests from politics, business, and society accepted the invitation to the company’s headquarters in Bad Lauterberg to celebrate this traditional anniversary together.
Moritz Ostenrieder, managing partner of the parent company Sachtleben Minerals, opened the event. In his speech, he highlighted the company’s development and its close ties to the region.
Guests of honor included District Administrator Marcel Riethig, Matthias Wunderling-Weilbier (State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics, Transport, and Construction), Dr. Volker Stuke (Chief Executive of the Association of Energy Customers, VEA), Mayor Rolf Lange, and Member of the State Parliament Alexander Saade. Numerous business partners and representatives from industry also took the opportunity to engage in personal exchanges.
A special highlight was the venue: an empty raw materials storage box was transformed into a stylish setting especially for the speeches. The ceremony was accompanied by music from the Lonau brass band, which created a festive atmosphere with traditional sounds.
The speeches emphasized the economic and industrial significance of the German barite industry. For 125 years, the company has been producing barite products for a wide range of applications—in particular for the paint and coatings industry, which is now its most important sales segment.
The thoroughly successful event came to a close with a rich selection of food and drinks in a convivial atmosphere. The anniversary celebration impressively underscored the role of Deutsche Baryt-Industrie as a reliable employer, innovative producer, and valued partner – both regionally and internationally.
